05/12/12 - 05/13/12: Life in Latin America

At this retreat, volunteers will have a chance to explore Latin American culture and practice their Spanish in a real-life setting. It is a perfect setting for us to wrap up the training year and gear up for the summer!

Volunteers must be at the Millbrae BART station (200 North Rollins Road, Millbrae 94030) by 10:10 am on Saturday. Vols can either drive or be dropped off at Millbrae OR take the Caltrain that arrives in MIllbrae at 10:08 am from whatever station is most convenient. From there, together we will take BART up to San Francisco.

On Sunday, volunteers can be pick up from the Millbrae BART station at 12:10 am OR they can choose to take the Caltrain that departs from Millbrae at 12:39 pm back down the Peninsula.

Volunteers, please be sure to pack:

-$9.75 for BART

-A bag lunch OR money for lunch out in the Mission for Saturday

-Water bottle

-Comfy walking shoes

-Sleeping bag and small pillow (yes, we'll be sleeping on the floor)

-Your Program Guide (red), Vol. Training Handbook (tan) and Vol. Health, Safety and Travel Guidelines

-Additional information on your Weekly Educational Topics

-Something to write on and something to write with.

-Excitement to explore the Mission and speak Spanish!
